Shorting is selling. Selling makes a stock go down by increasing supply if it exceeds demand. A look at the short interest being nearly 2 million shares is kind of a clue that the shorts had a large part to play in the stock's pullback from 30. If you go back and look at my post on this thread on THE DAY that ACRT stock hit 30, you'll note that I said demand would be a problem going forward at that level. Throw a bunch of shorted shares at the market with current demand sated and you get shorts' efforts being influential; not your fairytales. Demand is back. Supply is waning. It's not to hard to see you're getting hurt with each weaker attempt to add to the short position. I warned you 2 1/2 months ago that your short position was going to become intractable. Go ahead, ignore me. Doug R
