off topic Interesting article--but not very credible. Appears to make the usual first order mistakes--India and Pakistan are like us, which is not so; the Cold War framework is the basis for understanding possibilities--not so either. Americanos can identify, but the framework is not helpful or realistic. These are two alien (non-American culturally), pagan (non-Christian) countries. They are not like us in thought or culture; their framework cannot be reduced to the American storyline. However, in the unregenerated state, they share the same human nature as all unregenerated creatures do. Except for the grace of God, there are far more avenues for matters to go terribly wrong resulting in a, how shall we couch it in the Americano sanitized lexicon, 'a nuclear event' to occur in India or Pakistan than was the case in the USA or the Soviet Union. However, even if both countries used all of their devices, there would be a rattle throughout the world, but not a major effect on world commerce as the Americans know it (presuming however, no nuclear sabatoge--deliberate, extensive contamination for example). Anything short of a major overhaul in checks, balances, controls, etc. to something auditably workable for each country, or alternately, the holding of essential components by a trustworthy third party under strict rules of transfer--is just not going mitigate the now present availability to use nuclear devices to carry out the long-standing and wrongful hatred these people have chosen to practice without reason or fear of the one and true, living God.
