Right, I agree. I think perhaps a volatility and volume adjusted indicator might be an interesting one to use. I'm still thinking about it.

the value (or lack thereof) of stochastics came up. I had an alternative twist on stochastics I was trying out, using the Dynamic Momentum Index as a confirming indicator. That discussion never really went anywhere at the time, but I'd love to revive it and perhaps use what I had there as a baseline.
