Off topic: wow, transports & NASDAQ getting killed...new slogan for NASDAQ: tanks for the memories.... Does it seem that the market is in slow downtrend but under lighter than average volume? Doesn't this look similar to January just before the next big run? FWIW

>>fair price of about $90 . . .about 93 when viagra was approved.<<

When Viagra was approved no one had any idea what a monster drug this was going to be. Look at the Rxs this puppy has produced. I think the fellow on CNBC missed the first buying opportunity . . . but I bet he doesn't miss this one. Sometimes we get second chances.

HiSpeed or anyone

I normally frequent the Vivus thread but I do have some PFE stock as well.

In ignorance as a novice investor I bought PFE just because I thought viagra would be a big hit and not paying much attention to the current share price.

Can I ask you a serious question, honestly I don't understand this.

Even with viagra and new drugs and an EPS growth rate of 20% the P/E ratio is going to take a long time to come down - years. So just why is PFE a good buy?

Someone earlier mentioned institution holdings - is this rather than economic consdierations important for the long term.

Please could someone enlighten me.
