Where can I buy one of those gizmos to wrap on my wrist to keep the static away? Is static a problem in your area? Do you get shocks when you touch metal? I have seen a lot of computers come apart but only saw one guy with a strap. He took it off after fifteen minutes. I think he wore it for show. This is what I do. First touch your case firmly with your hand to equalize the charge between you and your case. Then release and remove the component from the anti static bag. Then with your other hand touch the case again to equalize charge once again. Then install the component. If static is a problem in your home a strap might be a good idea. Do not rub your feet on the carpet. Avoid excessive force ie flexing cards. Make sure the cards are seated. Zeuspaul
