Starowl, the gift of irony has not been denied to you, either. I must admit I enjoy your messages, though the elegance of your arguments has contributed to keeping me from selling ADPT at about 21, and it has now become the most generous donation I have made to the market this year. Might I invite you and the other more sophisticated contributors (in particular those with expert knowledge of markets or technology) to this thread to gather some information on ADPT in a more systematic and disciplined way. Instead of reading emphatic statements displaying only a limited level of analysis, couldn't we try to answer the following questions: 1. Which are the most important product lines of ADPT today? To what extent do they presently contribute to the top and bottom line of ADPT? Which will (probably) be the most important product lines in the future? 2. Who are the most important competitors in the respective market segments? What are their strengths and weaknesses? What are the most important market entrance barriers? To what extent can we expect a "commoditization" of these segments? To what extent have they been hit, or will they be hit, by factors like the Asian crisis or the devaluation of the yen? 3. What is the relative position of ADPT in these market segments? Do we know of any internal or external growth/profit margin projections for these market segments or for ADPT? 4. How do insiders or expert outsiders answer these questions? Have there been any significant insider purchases or sales of ADPT recently? As you may deduct from these questions, I still consider ADPT to be a nice contrarian play for 2-3 years, even if I have bought my present holding at an average price of about 19 (and have therefore almost reached my stop loss). But before I convince myself to start averaging down, I would like to verify my own analysis of the company's medium term potential. Best regards J. Bruski
