tombet: Nobody knows what will happen to the stock price for the next 3-6 months. But you can go ahead and make an "educated" guess like many here. You have a 50%-50% chance of being right because the price will be either higher or lower. And if luck is on your side, you can be an internet hero for awhile <g>. But as you suggest, nobody can argue that the sentiment is at a yearly low for this sector and that fact alone is quite telling to me. On the other hand, one should begin to consider selling some AMAT when you first see a "GO AMAT" post <g>.
