I am quite sure T+3 is the minimum standard. If your broker's clearing house has a buy and sell on the same security, there is no reason they cannot complete the transaction in a day...
Could be wrong, but I do not think so...

Steve, I just pulled paper work on the two brokerage houses I use so I would get it dead right. Memory don't always serve me some days :o)

Okay one SureTrade (online) varies from 3 to 5 days. Black & CO. 3 days always. On Black & CO. it don't matter if my money is in the account or not. I don't know about SureTrade, I usually don't buy unless funds are in the account. I did yesterday but I wired the money so they did get it before the end of business day.

However, Steve I did not expect to receive any free dividend stock on what I bought yesterday. I was just adding to my holdings.

Dusty :o)
