The article, entitled "Intruder Alert" by Robert DeFrancesco, is generally well balanced citing recent MS concerns in addition to the company being "the leading provider of firewall software, with a 35% share of the US market." This article also mentions Deborah Triant and FloodGate-1 (cited in attribution by James Preissler of PaineWebber to the one-trick pony argument). I think the company's presence in this article is an implicit recommendation itself, with the chief strengths noted as a PE below projected earnings-growth rate and low firewall market penetration (said in article to be 10% of its potential). I enjoy the newsletter (Rukeyser's typical style, or attitude, towards conventional wisdom prevails which never takes anyone too seriously), but its chief audience is probably a good deal more conservative investing wise than myself (possibly older/retired, more diversified, with fixed income holdings).
