Roger,
Almost everybody is going thin client these days in the mfg arena. Im not sure about thin client for SFA though, due to the mobile requirements. In mfg it works for us because all of the guts of the system are not controlled in any way by the user. The most rapidly growing sector is middleware, which in many cases doesnt even have a UI. So to take a fairly dumb client and change it into a thin client - why not? Its a cheap and easy change. So say fstw had a thin client offering in the mfg arena, and that was their big pitch, it wouldnt be too good because I2 and everybody else will be thin client in a matter of months anyway.

With SFA, I don't know. Isnt there some localized information that salesreps need? And the mobile requirements, what if they don't have access to the web (on a plane or something). Are you sure thin client makes sense from a business perspective here? I don't have any friends that are salesreps so Im just asking.
