I think the short position is nothing else than an additional demand of 1.2 million shares. And now this information is public. I don't expect something like a short squeeze but it should support the price.
I think regulations on the nasdaq are much more restrictive than e.g for BB stocks, what limits somehow the time you have for covering the shares. Maybe sombody knows more about it and can give us some details?

The problem with some small caps is that there are always some mystic short positions nobody has ever seen. I have serious doubts sometimes when I hear that there are short positions of some stocks where you have no proof for it.

Obviously this was not the case for BOST. It is a strange example where I have no explanation for.
