Peritus and Hitachi Data Systems Win Year 2000 Contract

Year 2000 Remediation Services to Be Provided For Fulton County, Georgia
BILLERICA, Mass., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Peritus Software Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTUS), a leading provider of solutions for software maintenance, today announced that Hitachi Data Systems(HDS) and Peritus were selected to provide Year 2000 services for Fulton County, Georgia, the seventeenth largest county in the United States. Peritus will provide its Enterprise Renovation Suite/2000 solution to perform inventory analysis, assessment, and correction of the Year 2000 problem. HDS will provide project office management and consulting services, including business risk management analysis, systems assessment, and test planning management.

The Fulton County contract is the result of a joint sales and marketing effort by HDS and Peritus. HDS is the primary service provider on this multi- year, multi-million dollar project. Peritus was selected by HDS to be the sole Year 2000 remediation vendor. HDS selected Peritus because of the high accuracy and automation of the Peritus solution for addressing the Year 2000 problem. The combination of Peritus and HDS provide a complete, best-in-class Year 2000 solution.
