In case anyone missed Sprint's press release today, here is the link.

This seems very important to me and the "Fastbreak" codename appears most appropriate. The agressive timetable and dramatically lower cost structure can only serve to accelerate the demand for high speed bandwith. Maurice, its just like the article I posted the other day - its a price and elasticity of demand question. Lower costs also mean more applications get created. With more applications, more demand, and so it goes. For QCOM my assumption is that the more wired applications and wired demand, the more likely you are to have folks who want or need a wireless version. I've got four lines coming into my little business, two of which are used exclusively for internet connections. If FON can give me the equivalent with one connection at a lower cost overall, there is no contest- bye, bye BellSouth . If anyone has any thoughts on this topic, I would love to hear from you. -JLF
