It looks like their PR firm has fair connections in the entertainment industry (at least country music), but ISDN will also need to have a player in the tech/Net field as well. The news release on Monday was kind of a hodge podge; they'll have to sharpen their message in order to generate excitement about what they're doing. The release made it sound like the story is that they'll allow pay-per-listen off of CDs from their partner labels, which is not very exciting (at least as a consumer-oriented service). I would have led with the pay-per-listen concerts (live and recorded), emphasizing the particular strength of this segment (based on market research). I would also have done more with the fact that their CD-quality audio technology is a proprietary tool that makes OEN uniquely capable of delivering the kind of sound consumers will demand. Also, of course, this proprietary technology will be sold/licensed for use in other applications, etc., etc.

This story is simple and strong. As soon as the PR folks lock in on what we've got here, we'll do fine.

Let's hope tomorrow's site launch is a success!
