I doubt if the cash will be used to support the stock via an announcement of a buyback and at these levels, a takeunder is a possibility. Hopefully the stockholders and the board of directors would see any low ball bid and throw it out, but it has happened before.

I'd rather see the cash used to advance their technology and patents as far as possible during this upcoming weakness within the industry and to make that market share expand.

This doesn't happen as often during cyclical downturns, does it? Would-be buyers are conserving cash themselves, and they don't have high-priced stocks to do the acquisition for equity instead.

I would guess that ASYT will just continue its merry solo way through this downturn and into the next up cycle, and it's at that time, whenever it is, that shareholders will be rewarded.
