Interesting she would make this statement, i believe this cash strapped Company will sell. My opinion only.

I think we see it both ways. Depending on the type of work that was done, who has done it and when..., you will often see juniors requesting at least a reserve calculation by an independant engineering firm before they talk to the possible JV partners. In other case, when the junior is known to the possible suitor, a JV will be formulate with a due diligence clause. In this later case, the seniro partner will most often perform some duplication work himself to verify and audit the work done by the junior. The JV will be enacted when the duplicate work confirm the earlier results.

I see it both ways regularly.
