Richard, On the fiber issue, though I have seen many adds in the trade magazines for n-base, I believe the add in the May issue of Fiberoptic Product News is the first I've seen for MRV Communications.
"MRV Leads the way with Fiberoptic Connectivity"

Richard, I'm not sure that point #5 is a requirement for the sucessfull expansion of the fiber optic biz, most of the current growth seems to reside in the MSO/cable operators build outs to facilitate bidirectional via the cable already in the home. FTTC appears to only go in new construction projects, if at all. I would like to know the extent of MRVs biz w/TCI & Time Warner. Of course I could say that about most all MRVs customers, Didn't somebody recently state that MRV was to begin building digital modems? Is this a cable modem or a digital settop aka...SFA/GIC? SFA uses WDMs mfg. by Schott of Germany who owns the 2 planar mfg. patents for
WDMs i've previously mentioned. As I understand it, MRVs tech is riding more in the arena of cable/wireless buildouts & competes w/the Sprints, ect...roll out of xdsl tech. I do know that TCI will spend billions of $$$ over the next 3yrs on its buildouts & upgrades of current cable facilities.

Do ya like the Bulls or the Jazz?
