Maurice, for one who spends so much time talking to Yanks, you apparently have learned little of our entrepreneurial ways of doing business.

[unless others bid too much in the auction]>>

Simply 1) set up a limited liability company (no personal recourse); 2) keep bidding at the auction until you win (a la Craig McCall, NextWave); 3) sort out the rest later.

Now if it turns out you haven't paid outrageously way too much you should be able to attract in partners to bail you out, leaving you with some equity stake in a swinging prospect. Or of course you could sell out. If you did pay too much, declare your limited liability vehicle is bankrupt and see what you can salvage. (See NextWave.)

Not completely comfortable?? Obviously you need an American financier partner. I'd be glad to help. A mere 10% carried interest for Moi should do it. <gg> I can arrange letters of credit and other rock solid financing commitments sufficient for the purpose, from Bermudan, Cayman, Bahamian and even Texan institutions.
