Emile:

A few suggestions before I comment on your post:

First you need to get your nose out of the anti-religious pamphlets you've been handed and actually read "the real thing" before making any accusations. It's obvious you're coming from a lot of emotion and seem to disregard the entire thought process in your post.

Secondly, I for one thought you came across rather rude and insensitive with your snide remarks and rhetorical questions. It's as if you're treating me as a heathen because I posted a few facts.

Having said that, I'm sure I need to respond to the accusations you've made against what I've said. I can guarantee everyone here that each thing I said was true and can be verified. Unfortunately Emile's material comes from sources that seem to have the truth as a second priority:

Mr. Norris, in the light of this quote from the Qur'an, how can you say that "a Muslim by definition is not against Christianity"?

I stand by that comment. There are 6 tenets of Faith (not the pillars of Islam) each Muslim believes in. I'm sure you know them but I'll rattle them off for our viewers:

A. Believe in God
B. Believe in the Messengers of God
C. Believe in Angels
D. Believe in The Books of God
E. Believe in The Last Day (Judgement Day)
F. Believe in Fate

Two key areas are the belief in messengers of God and books of God. A Muslim is not a Muslim if he/she denies Jesus and God's revelation to him. It's a necessity. Islam states that to reject one Messenger is to reject them all.

The Books of God encompass The Torah sent to Moses, Psalms to David, and Gospel to Jesus. Again, this isn't something some Muslims believe. It's what all Muslims believe.

So why don't Muslims follow the present day Bible? Well, according to the Qur'an, the present day Bible is not the original message sent to Jesus. In other words it does make claim that men took some of the Gospel and added to it other men's works and labeled it the Bible. So that a portion of the Bible is the message, but not all of it.

As for whether Jesus is the son of God, it is true that Muslims believe Jesus came from God's spirit, but that he is not God nor is he a "son" of God. Muslims accept the term in the figurative sense but not in the literal. The Qur'an says of God,

He is God, the One and Only
God the Eternal, the Absolute
He begets not nor was He begotten
And there is none comparable to him

It's interesting to note since many Bibles are now removing the term "begotten" from John 3:16 admitting that term is not the correctly translated word from the Greek. "Begotten" is a term associated with lower life beings and is something Christian Scholars now do not ascribe to The Mighty Creator of All the Universe.

If you want ot convert Christians to your false religion an cult, why don't you speak truthfully about Islam's teachings? A religion that has to use deception to get members is a religion of demons.

Please don't act so cordial in your posts.

If I am to follow the adage that Actions Speak Louder than Words, I'm very comfortable knowing that while you preach your religion so eloquently, your actions certainly contradict what you say your religion teaches you......

But getting to your accusations: I did not come here to convert anyone. I posted to correct misinformation on this thread. Christine asked me to clarify Islam and I did so. If I were looking to convert people I'd be posting passages from the Bible and Qur'an among other things. I'm certainly not doing that.

O People of the Book (i.e. Christians and Jews)! come to common terms as between us and you: that we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not from among ourselves, lords and patrons other than God; - The Qur'an

I'm not going to get into a religious debate with you Emile. Either you'll see I never lied or you'll choose to not see. Thanks for your time.

Ray

Emile,

Why would a loving perfect God allow so much of humanity to be "lost" in a religion of evil. Are well behaved children of Islamic parents doing satan's work when they follow the role model set forth by their parents? This does not seem logical to me.

Mr. Evil Emile:

Are you still ranting and raving? John Galt sent me a message by cybertelepathy asking me to point out to you that it is time you return to your cave.

I might add that all your forms of mysticism: christianity, judaism and muslim too are all cut from the same timeworn cloth and as we head farther into the next Millenium will finally fade away. On that happy day, the human race will have finally grown up.
