It is my understanding that MM PERT symbol stands for Pershing (considered by many to be very large) and from what I have been able to observe they have been active on the tape for a number of weeks. I doubt that PERT is here by virtue of an accident.

AT&T has announced that they are going to convert their entire network to IP. I'm surprised that nobody picked up on this.
