Pat, it is easy for the MMs to hit on NN: only 175 Mill shares float;
only the strong ( -enough to hold and buy shares ) will survive, G,

Pat, can you elaborate a little on market makers for those more naive than yourself. Who/what are they? How do they operate? What is motivating them in this instance.

I'm almost back at book value now. May have to consider buying more but not sure I need more NNC. My portfolio seems to be filled with little guys battling big ones. Beginning to wonder if I need to look at why I seem to have such a thing for underdogs. Know any good shrinks?

I'm a bit naive in this area but NN trades on NYSE which I didn't think used Market Makers. The "buys" and "sells" are match via a specialist and therefor the price can't be manipulated via bid/ask. I certainly am willing to stand corrected.
