Steven Call, thanks for the post. I agree with you. Nothing might go wrong with DELL, and the stock is adored on Wall Street. Trouble is that DELL is subject to it's peers and to the general market. And, even if nothing bad happens within DELL, potential investors may be leery. This represents a different demand equation for the stock; heretofore, the burning question has been, "how high is high?" DELL longs see challenges as opportunity for DELL. (Fair enough.) But, I'm not sure that is a widely accepted viewpoint. As a testament to DELL management, I would say if anyone can weather the storm it is DELL. In the background, the stock market is looking very precarious. It would be a foolish attempt for me to ask someone to release the golden goose. My appeal is toward conservation vs. liquidation. (To borrow your metaphor, I get the feeling that people are going on a rafting vacation without insurance.) Good luck, and thanks for the earlier compliment. ps. Market activity is likely to heat up soon, allowing less time to post. So, I'll leave the friendly debate in more capable hands. (Have a cool summer, Seniors Rule!, and all that stuff.)
