Looks like we have been the victim of a major fake-out.

Apparently the market tanked in the last hour today because of worries that Intel was going to preannounce (like they did exactly 3 months ago). WEll that did not happen.

In fact, Intel came out after the close and announced that it was comfortable with existing estimates. THERE WILL BE NO INTEL PREANNOUNCEMENT.

This is good news; Intel is trading up 2 points in after-hours trading.

If you look a day chart of INtel (just today's trading) you will see a direct parallel with trading levels in the nasdaq.

Intel and Nasdaq were positive all day long and then both tanked in the final hour of trading, closing at their intraday lows.

Any comment?

Looked like a fakeout day anyway, as breadth remained very good for a nasdaq down 20 and the Russell 2000 was barely negative.

Maybe we've seen the bottom in the Spring correction; I hope. Have margin calls to deal with.
