Re: Intel guidance. What I remember is AG saying Q2 will be flat to slightly down from Q1. Anyone have their "official" guidance statements? Consensus was at $0.70 last week. If they're only "slightly down" it could be interesting.

Intel has said that it has not changed its guidance for Q2. What confuses you about this statement?? No "If's" here as you imply. A simple concept. They provided guidance at the beginning of the quarter and that guidance has not changed.

BTW, this does NOT mean that earnings will be in line with expectations. If you check your history you will see that Intel doesn't change guidance unless their is significant upside opportunity or significant exposure. I take their statement to mean that they will be within estimates plus or minus 5-10%.

At any rate, their comments following Q2's announcement will be much much more important than the numbers themselves, especially now that we know that their is not going to be a significant miss for this quarter.
