This is pure and simple MM manipulation,
first the rumor about preannounce earning disappointment
to drive down the price, then when Intel denies that,
they can gap open and pick up a few points ...

That is obscene ...

They didn't say that. They said, at this point the spokesman is unaware of any plans to make any announcement today. That is a big difference, I'm not saying they will warn tomorrow or whatever, but the press release was very vague.
