Todd,
Re your 'alarming' point.....the question is whether 'huge' is huge enough and therein lies my ignorance for sure. What I would actually like to know is whether they wrote off ALL of the production equipment particularly associated with the particular capacity no one needs any more. The buildings and environmental support for them and all that is a different matter. Might you have any insight into what percentage of their current PPE might be process equipment vs land+building?

Best Regards.....Tom

<<This has all been caused by the company failing to keep up with the

gobs of money.>>
Or maybe the truth of the matter is that you just can't make money being a swing supplier in a commodity business where you compete with company's internal production. You can make money only while your new equipment is leading edge but being depreciated over longer than its leading edge life, maybe after writing the equipment down to zero or when the industry is capacity constrained. I even wonder whether HTCH despite not competing with captive suspension business will ever recoup their huge expenditures. Its very clear that the PC manufacturers are putting incredible pressure on their suppliers and that that pressure is being passed on.
