<..does this mean ISP's have been
upgrading to v.90's?>

Hi Joe. My local ISP is a Cisco reseller.

Their (3com) 56k X2 upgraded to V.90 last month without a hitch- which led me to upgrade! Their Flex (not 3com) is still running Flex; the upgrade was a fiasco, and many of the flex customers are having trouble with their modem upgrades, too.

Actually, the upgrades are fine, if you like connecting at 33k.

The tech I talk to was fairly adamant that I get nothing but a 3com V.90 modem. I'm glad that's what I got- it installed without a hitch on my Macintosh, and we flying.

So, it's only anecdotal, but my ISP has upgraded and also supports flex because many customers are now stuck with it.

Best Regards,
