'CE could be for more than just the appliance market. there has been some speculation that Microsoft could target this at the consumer market as a replacement for Windows 98. They have also qualified it as a 'real time' OS - ie for embedded chips. Also interesting deal with SEGA - CE is the basis of SEGA's new game station (running on a Hitachi chip). I think there is a real danger of intel missing out on a very fast growing market. The unit price may not be Pentium II level, but the volumes could be a lot bigger. Nig
