[re: ALA & DIGI]

NYBellBoy,
Forgive me if my ignorance is showing but how is DSC a partner of Lucent? To the best of my knowledge (granted very limited) DSC and Lucent have no partnership's or agreements.

As far as Lucent pooling their interest's I can now only hope that they (LU) will buyout WSTL. The market apparently doesn't like the ALA/DIGI deal as far as it relates to WSTL. I now feel that WSTL's only hope is a buyout or a merger with someone like ORCTF, AWRE or PAIR. Failing that, I think it'll get very ugly for WSTL (and me <g>).

I'd be more interested to know how Bell Atlantic feels about the ALA/DIGI deal.

As always......JMHO

So this mornings news is the Acatel is buying DSC. How is Lucent feeling this AM about that? When can Lucent do a pooling of interests? Will Lucent make a counter-offer for DSC if it can?

Lucent will not like it one little bit that their partner DSC is being swallowed up by a competitor.

Not sure about Lucent's feelings, but doesn't this put Alcatel in BA and isn't this why they bought DSC? Champagne corks are not flying at WSTL, I'm sure.

Anxious to hear your take.
