FWIW,

Largest block I recall seeing with ANCR just traded...

50K shares at $5 27/32 12:51 EST
followed less than a minute later by
10K shares at $5 27/32

at the time it split the b/a which was 5 13/16 x 7/8
current b/a is 5 13/16 x 15/16

We might be seeing some movement in the stock due to the possibility of Ancor changing their stupid logo. I also believe that their logo should be changed to something more attractive and sellable than some beatnik. Here are my top ten suggestions:

10. Fred Flintsone
9. Godzilla
8. Monica Lewinsky (she could create a quick rise in sales)
7. Tiger Woods
6. Michael Jordan
5. Beanie Babies (at least some people might want to collect them)
4. Jerry Seinfeld
3. Better yet, Kramer
2. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson
1. Tuttletubbies

Patrick,

<(Is it necessary to send a copy of this post to Carla or does she read this thread? I will do a marketing test of my own and wait one week for a private response from her.) >

I, for one, will be amazed if you receive a response without somebody emailing a copy of it to her. I got the impression from talking to her at the shareholder's meeting that SI and the other boards are not something that Ancor management wants to encourage. Just one of those inconveniences one endures without complaining -- like finding your way through the Opus maze to Blue Circle Drive. I believe Kerry has said that it would be a violation of Ancor policy for Carla to post a reply here, though I suspect that an email response would be OK.

It seems likely to me that most companies would find boards like this to be an inconvenience. It has the potential to leak information, spread incorrect information, and increase the time required to respond to shareholder/public inquiries. It also has the potential to demoralize employees. Nonetheless, I like 'em.

I think I heard Carla say that she/they liked the Gigworks name and, I think, the beatnik. The image stood out and got them better recognition than a blander name. I am neutral on the image but I understand why others aren't fond of it. It does seem that I'm seeing more goatees these days, though. How about Maynard G. Krebs endorsing the Mk.II?

I've never understood advertising campaigns and why agencies recommend what they do to their clients. I suspect Ancor had outside assistance in developing the theme. Maybe those people are tapped into trends to which I'm oblivious.

Greg

<<...Given the whole spectrum of choices, who would accept a laid back
"beatnik" to represent SPEED, ACCURACY, RESPONSIBILITY, RELIABILITY and WORK?!

No offense to the beat generation is intended...>>

You know...I knew the right word was "beatnik" and not "French-guy", but for some reason it wouldn't pop into my mind when I really needed it.

I agree though...a beatnik really isn't the picture you want when trying to convey "speed, accuracy, responsibility, reliability and work." When I think of a beatnik, I think of Dobie Gillis..or was it Maynard Krebs?

I personally don't care if the beatniks are offended by my opinion <g>.
