Charlie <What keeps BEL tied to WSTL?> It is very simple, WSTL has a technology that WORKS and is considered to be the best in the industry!

charlie--

ALA won the JPC by lowballing the bid. they dont make money on it, and so their equipment has been no good. what keeps BEL tied to us is the fact that WSTLs equipment works.

ALA doesnt CARE about WSTL. they care about nortel and LU.

the markets reaction was typical. big dogs always win....right, and they want to eat the little dogs just for the hell of it. sure.

ALA going after WSTL makes no sense. buying them, maybe, but not going head to head with them. ALAs equipment sucks, and the WSTL/DSC relationship is already paying off. i dont think they want to mess with a good thing.

good luck to all,
trey

Charlie,

<<What keeps BEL tied to WSTL?>>

How about several years of testing and gearing up to the announced deployment. I kind of agree with Trey, this buyout is not about ADSL at all. DIGI has $2 billions worth of sales of which ADSL = $0.
