I have no idea what makes my copy of Liar,Liar bad... all I know is that it stutters during certain sections of the movie... I don't believe it's the decoder card, since my other movie works just fine... and it's definitely not a scratch, since it is new.

it doesn't really matter though, that just means that the DVD software makers will have to be more careful in order to compete...

Bad pressing? I thought DVD discs were etched with a laser via photolithography, similar to chips. No?
