Peter that is darn cheap, how that effects the sector I dont know,Iam a assembler share holder because I think they'll grow at a more predictable rate due to the fact that the oems have only outsourced 17% of their manufactoring ,as diig showed this morning that they plan on growing as a result of buying plants w biz as have sci slr jabil flex on and on ,I think that these partnership will keep coming for some time more so in a soft market, the street cant quiet see this or they dont like rev's that will have hugh jumps and flat spots .jmho patroller

From an article, NEC and few other manufacturers planned on fixing prices on SDRAMs. They are currently being sold under cost and severely hurting profits.

AMD K6-3D, AMD's brand new chip, plus FIC 503+ board is only 304 bucks. Check out: www.shopmti.com for some goodies.

My conclusion: Good deals out there for consumers, but the manufacturers aren't having such a good time.

By the way, how does AMD K6 233Mhz work with your Intel BX?
K6 is Socket 7 with a 66Mhz FSB while BX is Slot 1 and capable of 100Mhz FSB...putting a Ford Mustang engine in a Ferrari?
