Ali Shahbaz: I am not a fan of Prince Walid. All I am saying is, it is one of his holdings. As to his investments they all did very well:
Citicorp: $400 million investment now worth over $3 billion. Apple: $100 million investment now worth over $150 million in less than a year. Disney Europe I think he quadrupled his invested money there. On the long term all his investments tend to do very well. He has I am sure advisors on these matters. I do agree with you regarding Warren Buffet and I hold BRK/B shares in my portfolio. Even Warren Buffet had individual stocks that did not do too well, however his return has been more than 30-40% to the holders of BRK/A or BRK/B. Solomon Brothers - one of Buffet's holdings dropped from $35 to I think less than a dollar and it took 8 years before the share price rose back to over $35 - Warren sold his shares then.
