pat, with mu as their #1 holding (how, oh, how could this happen ;-), most of which was probably purchased at higher prices ($20-$35 higher ;-), i'm not sure there is much they can do. if they sell they kill their qtly performance and that means no bonus. 28 yr olds have lots of expenses nowadays ;-)

i think they will hold on to the last dire moment and them liquidate when they already know that their bonus is up in smoke. mu may be in the low teens to single digits by then, imho. definitely after then...

Patrick,

OK....MU junkies, what impact will this 28 yr old have on MU
over the coming month? Reduce their largest holding, or have
they already reduced it?

Most likely Matthew will hold them over summer and upgrade both
INTC and MU @ mid/or end of Aug. He might hedge them for the time
being, if Andrew didn't till now which I doubt he didn't.

The article just makes me feel old, with a kid half my age in
charge of over 3 billion in assets.

He he he, let's hope we have graceful aura and wisdom.

regards,

BPP

pat and david
(1) MU has already made a DHH today.
(2) That leaves only a 4% chance of DLL
.............
MU monthly trend down
MU daily trend UP...96% chance to still be up at end of day.

Isn't PTA nice ? (Probability TA)

Patrick, if he was part of the analytical "brain"-trust on this one, might just stay the course. If 22 holds, maybe the thinking swings back to "bad stuff's in there/they're buying X-year earnings" (not that I think you can take the meta-narratives the TV personalities construct to give viewers the impression they have a handle on what's really happening that seriously. I mean if you listened to Bob Pisani's soothing, feel-good blather a couple of months ago about how everyone was buying 1999 earnings in the chips and gear makers, you're probably not too happy.)

IMHO, if it gets legs, it's more accurate to call it a technical bounce.

Someone's been selling since the initial "Dan Niles top" though - the first one up around 33 that is, not the most recent one.

Speaking of bad short-term calls, hey how about that timely initiation from Mother Merrill on GALTF yesterday?

Of course, they pre-warned ATB tonight.

Kurlak certainly does "train" his troops well.

Good trading,
