Challo, it is plain to see that you just don't get it. Crawfish is as much a cultural thing as a food thing. I can understand what you say though. But somehow when you are in the part of the world where crawfish is king -- mostly south of Interstate 10 -- there is nothing better than a crawfish boil -- nothing.

To ship the poor little fella from their native land may have just pissed them off since they didn't get to go to their reward on their home turf. And of course if you didn't boil them right on the spot in the proper manner, you can surely expect poor results. I trust you rcvd the shipment of LIVE crawfish and not pre-cooked?

Did you properly purge them before cooking? Did you tell them a good Justin Wilson joke before cooking so they would be cheerful before entering the boiling water? Did you add the right blend of the RIGHT seasonings along with corn, sausage (optional) and potatoes? Did you drink the proper amount of beer while cooking and eating? Did you have the correct music on in the background? Did you have a bunch of pals join in? Did you sit outside and sweat while cooking and eating? And so on and so forth.

See there are many factors associated with a successful crawfish dining experience.
