Jim, WinModem is Windows Modem. David may come along to
correct me, but as I understand it, this a cheap software
modem. Steals cycles from your CPU. Requires Windows based
communications and fax software (such as RapidCommT).
Special Windows drivers automatically install and configure
the modem for maximum performance.
Communicates with virtually any modem or fax device (Windows or not).
