It appears that during the old administration, CAVR sold off the professional series name.

It is correct. Check the latest 10K (I think) for details. Carver has been consolidating heavily. Maybe it will work out. The consumer audio business is cutthroat even at its best.

Does this mean, then that the total shares outstanding has gone from 4.67M to 7.67M? I guess that reduces the book value considerably, but the company needed the money. Still you would think the company could have done better than .11/share. Sounds like this special situations fund is a special screw you fund.
