Wcom will not sell Uunet. It may have to sell off some of MCI's retail internet business, in addition to the backbone.

After some looking I can't find it on their site. I suspect they've removed it.

I suggest you go to the WCOM website and download thier long range plan that will take you a bit of time if you have an old 28.8 like I do. In it you will see an amazing network laying arond Europe.

I find it interesting that the EU Commissioner responsible for competition has a career which is heavily influenced by a Socialist political bent. Link is to his bio on the EU website. With pardons to George Carlin, aren't competition and socialism mutually exclusive terms.
