I have no trouble with the Med Letter info that you posted just that you did not read the piece correctly and post complete information. Via personal message I was provided with a quote from the Med Letter and when you go and re-read it you will notice that it states for "NON-penicillinase producing S aureus" PCN is an appropriate first choice drug. The trouble is that 90% of clinical isolates of S auress ARE penicillinase PRODUCING. I don't need to go read the Med Letter to know this very basic microbiology.
