RE: Where to buy SparQ? / Going Out Of Business Sale!

Try Fry's. The one here in Arlington, TX has almost always had tons of them in stock. Disks have always been a little hard to find, but Fry's has always had the most SyQuest products in stock.

One piece of advice: By a few drives and tons of disks. You never know how long they'll remain in business and if they go under you don't want to be stuck with broken drives and no source for disks.

With the new pricing (after rebates), the chance of them staying in business are even worse than before. They're losing tremendous amounts of money. They're going for broke. The dilution and financing can't continue forever. This game is almost over. JMHO.

I found a drive and cartridges. There seems to be very little cartridge inventory out there but quite a few drives. The drive seems well made and is chugging away even as I type.

With the rebates it seems fairly obvious that SyQuest is losing money on these drives but could start to make it back on cartridges if they achieve critical mass. Iomega's quality problems are a good opportunity here.

My main use for this puppy will be to create Images of the two drives inside my laptop from time to time, which I will then transfer to CD-R. I am using DriveImage 2 for this.

I plowed in for 2,000 shares last Thursday at $1 15/32. My gut says I get an easy double within 6 weeks!
