Thread.....the MOT conference call is worth listening to, for a clear statement of its intent (already happening) to allocate money and management focus to digital handsets (to be precise). This may be heard until 5:00 p.m. Eastern time MONDAY, at 888-284-4564. I have found it helpful to just tape these conf. calls, then play them back in my car while driving. I can replay to figure out the meaning of something said, and it is there to come back to later.

The RedChip Review will downgrade TFS to "B" status in its next issue (because its reviewed briefly and posted on their website as at June 2). Nothing new...just the same material you've seen better on this thread the last week.

Long live Dennis Rodman. mcd

To the "thread,"

The only material unknown to this thread from the CMP publications database story earlier posted vis-a-vis Siliscape is as follows:

"What Siliscape brings to the show is a unique set of compound magnification optics that Buchanan said "provides a wide field of view as well as significant eye relief in an incredible thin package." Siliscape has also developed its own display chip specifically targeted at handheld devices, an all-digital chip with a significantly slimmer power diet than National's chip, which includes analog circuitry to accommodate conventional PC and TV inputs.

A one half inch diagonal LCOS display made with the Siliscape chip "has the lowest power consumption we've seen," Buchanan said: "10 mW or less in power miser mode."

The techies that frequent this location can handle the commentary on the electrical consumption issues better than I can. From the standpoint of "analysis", Siliscape issues are of minimal import to TFS holders for what I would guess would be at least a year (or, depending on how the institutions feel during the probable end of the year due diligence trip, perhaps *then*).

TFS is investing for the future.

What the shareholders are principally concerned about now, however, is the buildup of MOT shipments for the balance of 1998.

Have a good weekend.
