The interesting elements here are -- How do you know if, when, and how much.. I am guessing that's why you are interested in ASND?

Actually, the support/resistance points are from recent trading activity. I would say that at the current growth estimates, 41 is somewhat high in and of itself, but that's really just an opinion based on valuations, not on the industry or the takeover premium.

Like I said in an earlier message, I put the asking price at about $58 based on what I know about M&A (more than some, less than others). That's basically a 33% premium over EBITDA...there is no clear way to find out exactly what someone is willing to pay. ALA was willing to pay more than 33% for DIGI, but there could have been a myriad of reasons. There is no way, if it's LU, that it will happen before October. That is based on the fact that LU can't deal until October, and there is absolutely no reason for them to buy now if they can't pay until October -- you never know, they may get a better deal by waiting anyway. If there is another bidder, obviously it could happen any day.

My specific interest in ASND is only as a day-trading stock when the extremes are more than 1 1/2 points and it trades over 5m shares. I also will trade the hell out of it the day it is bought, and probably the day after. And then all the digitheads can talk about ATM routers and bandwidth protocol switching in four dimensions in peace until their heart's content and I suppose the rest of us will have to go find another thread to bother...
