Darren, why don't you find appropriate day traders thread. If you don't have anything meaningful to contribute, take your nonsense elsewhere.

Stocks go up and they go down intraday, intramonth, intra year. NOBODY has perfected a way to predict the movement accurately.

If you are a day trader why do you care about valuation, you don't need to know anything about the company, just a look at charts and throw darts. This is a friendly advise.
Good luck on your trades anyway.

There is no way, if it's LU, that it will happen before October. That is based on the fact that LU can't deal until October, and there is absolutely no reason for them to buy now if they can't pay until October

If they truly want ASND (which I'm not convinced they do, but I am starting to lean this way), and NT makes a bid, then they may also make a bid. This could be sooner than Oct., maybe much sooner.

They would not be able to use the "pooling of interests" method of accounting. But could they still do a pure stock deal and use a different accounting method which is less favorable from a tax standpoint? This is how they bought both Prominet ($200M in stock), and Livingston ($650M in stock). Yurie was cash tender of $35 per share ($1B).

I think it all depends on badly they want ASND, if they sense NT (or someone else) is also serious.
