I obtained my QCP-2700 over the (landline) phone, using a number I got off Spint PCS's website. (I felt I wanted to support Sprint, a more(?) direct customer of Qualcomm, not Radio Shack).

Anyway, I did ask for a Q-phone, figuring -- why not? -- but was told "at this time, the Q-phone is unavailable from us right here. But, you can try your nearest Spint PCS store" (which turned out to be in Miami (about 110 miles away, for those of you who do not know much about South Florida)).

After I got my PCS phone (they shipped via UPS overnight) (although the process was stalled by one day of getting the paperwork sloshed around just right), I started checking out Radio Shack stores for the Q-phone both here, and in Boca Raton, AND was told they (the Q-phones) were not available at this time.

My (warped?) mind immediately started imagining all sorts of good and bad explanations for this. Can't wait to find out what is going on.

Jon.
