Just so you are aware it is 21:30 hours here and I have just come off the phone from my colleague who is going to quiz 2 different people on this matter tomorrow.

I will hopefully have better more informed rumour (because that's all it is at this stage) in 24 hours.

I am looking for as much pragmatic info. on whatever I find out from you guys across the pond, so to speak, on this rumour. I can only say that my colleague and I have taken significant positions on WAVX as a result of our info.

Wahoograd,

Hasn't somebody been manufacturing WaveMeter chips all along. How else would they have a model to display? It has been 6 months since the IBM announcement, and Wave did display a working model in the IBM booth a couple of months ago. Why is it so inconceivable that Wave hasn't been producing a stand alone product that would be incorporated in IBM machines over the 6 month time period? At 4 - 5 bucks a pop we're looking at 20 to 25 million units. I don't know how many PC's IBM makes in a years time but hey, if it's going to be in the under $1000 class who knows. Just a thought. I do believe that something will be coming up with IBM soon. It's getting to close to the fall/Christmas promotions, if in fact there will be a product in 1998.

150 million is almost twice WAVX's current market cap. That would be a lot of buckaroos for this little company. It would be nice and I hope it's true, but it's kind of hard to believe.
