"Suggest you quit your job and apply for a job as a VP of Information
Systems."

Been there, done that. I used to be a Division Manager for a large Money Center Bank in NYC which is very proud of it's technology. Basically I was using computers before most people on this thread were using shoes.

My current company runs various office productivity apps and some very heavy duty real time messaging application that runs perfectly fine on a 486 but we have upgraded to Ps and PIIs.

Based on number of copies of MS Office vs any other application sold, I would say most folks use their PCs for general productivity and net access.

Has your company ever made money or do they just spend it?
