[ WESTELL ALLIES WITH ADTRAN ] Westell Technologies and Adtran plan to announce this week at Supercomm that Westell has developed modules for Adtran's Total Access platform and will OEM and market the product under the Westell name. Westell's participation is part of Adtran's Total Access Partners Program, a multivendor effort that Adtran also plans to unveil at Supercomm. Total Access is an integrated platform for a central office or remote hub that can accommodate modules for fiber, high bit-rate digital subscriber line and T-1 connections in a single shelf. internettelephony.com

Did anyone else think todays news release was pretty lame? It is great that WSTL is in "collaboration" with LU, DSC and TI but how about a response to ALA/DSC??? Alright, so WSTL is working with DSC today but as far as WALL STREET is concerned, WSTL will be replaced by ALA since acquiring DSC. If that is NOT true than ZIONTS needs to clear this up. EXACTLY WHAT IS WSTL AND DSC'S RELATIONSHIP GOING FORWARD!!!! How about titling todays release something like...Westell collaborates with LU, DSC and TI in demonstrating its DMT DSLAM! Now that gets my attention!!! WHo the heck writes their crap? I can't believe WSTL has not made any comments to ALA/DSC...What, it never happened? Business as usual. BS! If Zionts isn't embarrassed showing his face at supercom I feel sorry for him. WSTL once again, is made to look like a company run by children...and after its biggest announcement of its history. ABsolute BS! Today's announcement was a perfect opportunity to comment on the future relationship with DSC...although as we all know, thanks to the good doctor, that release was written well before the ALA/DSC release. At this point, since WSTL has not responded, I ASSume they are clueless and have no idea...clueless like children trying to play with grown-ups, but acting foolish! Pairgain's stock gets hammered when Sprint announces CSCO partnership, but PAIR comes back the NEXT day with a powerful news release that brings the stock right back and by the way, had a nice release today...A well managed company...Too bad PAIR doesn't have WSTL's tech. ZIONTS YOU BEST LEARN HOW TO RUN THIS COMPANIES PR DEPT...IF NOT GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO CAN. You took it away from FRB to save money...nice job. You saved a couple thou and lost millions by way of the stock price crashing to embarrassing levels. You have the best technology and yet NO ONE (WALL STREET) KNOWS IT. WHY? I am embarrassed to be a WSTL stockholder today!
