Why is DIGI trading about 12 % below what its current value should be. If 1 share of Digi = .815 shares of ALA then:

.815 x 40.69 (ALA's share price) = about $33 dollars for Digi

I expect there to be some difference but 12 %. If I wanted to buy some ALA shares the best way would to be to buy some DIGI and hope that the deal goes thru.

Thanks, Jon Cave

Hi Dave,

I liberated another 5% of my position yesterday at the open. Got $29-3/4 for the shares.

I've read the Value Line sheet on ALA. The recent spike to which you refer is rather dramatic after so many years of very low drama (BETA 1.00). There's just not enough of my usual items at which I look, present in abundance here. I like BETA of 1.40 or greater, Stock Price Stability less than 20, projection of a double in Book Value, and Sales as well as historical doubling in a 3 to 5 year period.

DIGI's a drop in the bucket compared to ALA's sales. So even if DIGI's business doubles, it only means a 5% increase in ALA's business. I feel a yawn coming on.

I'm glad you made it out the door safely; I'm not far behind. I'm not sure where I'm heading with my kitty once I get it all sold, but most likely someplace in the "convergence" area of telecomm and PCs.

Thanks for your efforts here.

Best regards, Tom
