I think we'll see some interest regenerated in the dd sector as analysts try to prep the market for Maxtor IPO. Witness the upgrade by Saloman Smith Barney on SEG today. They are suggesting a U in the market as drives are at or near bottom. They are also one of the lead companies bringing out Maxtor. Maybe it's true that storage is nearing a U turn. There surely seems like a possible up turn as we go from a traditionally weak period to strength toward the end of the year. That coupled with inventory at computer makers like Compaq getting back to more normal level should help. But those are sector issues. The micro issue of Innovex is still unclear. I would love to hear of a new program for their HIF. While I don't place too much store in HTI's preannouncement of domination, I would still like to see some more programs coming along. I think it's time that INVX defends their share price and mas a few announcements. It's not really their style, but they also hold a higher profile now than in the past and should they be looking at making acquisitions it would be a shame to do so with an undervalued stock. They suggested there was something interesting coming from their software group. Or maybe a story about surface mount technology? Anything, just to turn momentum. Anyway, I think you are right that Maxtor IPO will be preceeded by some storage sector hyping. Can only be a positive factor for Innovex and all involved. Regards, Mark
